Laser scanning eliminates short loads and over payments, guaranteeing our customers only pay for exactly what they receive. Britton Industries laser scanning technology will help our customers realize a potential bottom line savings of up to thousands of dollars over the course of a single season.
This is how it works; the laser scanner is mounted to a frame which the load is passed under. As the trailer passes beneath the scanner, a laser image of the loaded trailer is created. The software then subtracts the pre-scanned "empty" volume of the specified trailer and calculates the correct load volume. If you order 80 yards of mulch and the scanner reads 78.50 yards that's all you pay for. This technology eliminates the guess work, no more counting loader buckets and "guesstimating". After all, who would pay $10.00 for $8.00 worth of gas? This scanner system greatly improves overall billing accuracy and inventory control.
